About Haemologix

Haemologix builds technology that helps hospitals and blood banks coordinate blood donation more efficiently. Our goal is to make donor discovery and response workflows faster, more reliable, and easier to manage when time matters.

About the role

We are looking for an ML Developer to help design and develop machine-learning systems that support donor matching and operational decision-making. You will work across experimentation, evaluation, and implementation, collaborating closely with the product and engineering team to turn real operational needs into dependable technical solutions.

What you will do

  • Develop and evaluate machine-learning approaches for matching, ranking, and decision-support problems.
  • Create representative datasets and simulations for model development and testing.
  • Define clear evaluation metrics and validate model behaviour across a range of scenarios.
  • Build maintainable data and model pipelines that can evolve as the product grows.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to integrate ML capabilities into user-facing workflows.
  • Document experiments, decisions, limitations, and results clearly.

What we are looking for

  • Strong Python fundamentals and experience with common machine-learning and data-processing tools.
  • A practical understanding of model evaluation, statistics, and experimental design.
  • Familiarity with matching, ranking, recommendation, optimisation, or related problem areas.
  • Comfort working with data pipelines, APIs, and production software systems.
  • An ownership mindset and the ability to work independently in a collaborative, early-stage environment.
  • Clear communication and a thoughtful approach to reliability, privacy, and responsible model use.

Helpful experience

  • Deploying or monitoring machine-learning systems.
  • MLOps, model versioning, or automated evaluation workflows.
  • NLP, document processing, or LLM-based applications.
  • Building software for healthcare, logistics, marketplaces, or other operationally complex domains.

Working at Haemologix

This is a remote opportunity with meaningful ownership and direct product impact. You will work closely with the team, contribute to important technical decisions, and help shape how machine learning is applied within the platform. Further engagement and compensation details will be discussed during the selection process.

If this sounds like the kind of problem you want to work on, we would be glad to hear from you.
